The first was "Frightening appraisal" (June 18), the editorial on hate crime and bigotry, immediately followed by one by Washington Post columnist Richard Cohen concerning anti-Semitism, "When anti-Semitism is mainstream.". Incredibly, in these times, there seems to be an increase in violence and hate rhetoric against anyone who looks different, has different beliefs or might come from a foreign land and still have an accent.
