    Beloved award-winning author Kevin Henkes to visit Wellesley Free Library July 25  Jul 3, 2009
    On Saturday, July 25, at 1 p.m., Kevin Henkes, author of Birds, will be at the Wellesley Free Library, 530 Washington St. The beloved picture book author, illustrator and middle-grade novelist is the creator of the beloved mice characters Lilly, Chester, Owen and Chrysanthemum ( Lilly s Purple Plastic Purse, Chester s Way ). He wrote and illustrated the 2005 Caldecott Award-winning picture book, Kitten s First Full Moon, and his middle grade novel, Olives Ocean, was a Newbery Honor recipient. (Wellesley Townsman, MA)
