(The American Conservative)

And if science fiction had to be backed by real science, we wouldn't have had the exciting 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea or Around the World in 80 Days from Jules Verne and other compelling sci-fi stories from the likes of Isaac Asimov or Arthur C Clarke. Satyajit Ray wrote sci-fi, too, and it is unlikely he would have done so if he had been required to back his writing with proven science. (India Times, India)
