'In 3D' - Anaglyph Art by Stan Heller Nov 20, 2009
Even with a few big-name comic books hitting the shelves, including a Superman series in 2008 and one co-written by novelist and filmmaker Clive Barker, the medium has yet to go mainstream. "I feel like I'm out on my own doing what I'm doing. It's a very odd little niche," Heller said. (San Francisco Chronicle -- Entertainment)

A real Wilde child Nov 13, 2009
So it seemed natural, for the umpteenth screen adaptation of the classic Faustian novel, that director Oliver Parker, who had worked with horror writer Clive Barker early in his career and had even appeared in Hellraiser, would tilt the film over into the horror genre. "The original film was a fantastic museum piece," says Barnes of MGM's 1945 classic, The Picture of Dorian Gray, which starred George Sanders as Wotton and Hurd Hatfield as Dorian. Safa defend decision Oct 25, 2009
Parreira's return has been criticized by several prominent South African football personalities, including former coaches Jomo Sono and Clive Barker. They feel it is time to appoint a local coach to guide the team at the world cup finals. (iAfrica.com)
Words of wisdom Oct 25, 2009
" Malema said all Bafana's major victories happened under local coaches, if Malema is referring to past achievements under local coaches, then surely the man who delivered Bafana's first ever silverware fits the bill right? - wrong. "Why would we want to be coached by Shakes Mashaba, Jomo Sono or Clive Barker. They're old. (iAfrica.com)
› We fired Santana - ANCYL Oct 21, 2009
"Why would we want to be coached by Shakes Mashaba, Jomo Sono or Clive Barker? They're old. Let's give the new ones an opportunity to emerge. The old must allow the new to be born... and to rise in football.". Sapa Digg. (iAfrica.com)
I'll miss Santana - Booth Oct 21, 2009
" Several names have already been thrown into the ring with regards to who will take the reigns from Santana. The likes of Gavin Hunt, Jomo Sono and Clive Barker, whom all made up the assessment team for the clash with Iceland, could take over, but Booth admits that while he is not in a position to put any names forward, it would be a good idea to appoint from within the country. The former FC Rostov and Krylia Sovetov Samara defender added: "I am just a player, I am not going to recommend or... (iAfrica.com)
Opinion: Joel's gone, what now? Oct 21, 2009
Gavin Hunt has had great success with SuperSport United, Clive Barker has the experience, while Gordon Igesund is one of the most successful coaches in South African history. Hunt and Barker were both appointed by Safa to monitor Santana a couple of weeks ago, so that must mean they have faith in the two men. (iAfrica.com)

Parreira's second coming? Oct 20, 2009
Bafana's most successful coach, Clive Barker, has indicated that he would love to take over the struggling national team again. Safa could name the 16th coach when their national executive meets on Friday. (iAfrica.com)
Here comes trouble... Oct 12, 2009
New Safa president Kirsten Nematandani is certainly not Santana's number one fan (he threatened to fire the coach in his election manifesto), and the recent decision to appoint the trio of Gavin Hunt, Clive Barker and Jomo Sono to assess Santana illustrates the governing body's concern over recent results, or lack thereof. If anyone can explain to me why a no-name foreigner, with absolutely no international experience, was hired on the say-so of another foreigner who had just left us in the... (iAfrica.com)
› Santana: Dead man walking? Oct 11, 2009
Newly-elected Safa president Kirsten Nematandani has appointed SuperSport United coach Gavin Hunt and two former Bafana coaches, Clive Barker and Jomo Sono, to assess the team's performances. In other words, should Santana fail against both Norway and Iceland, he can virtually kiss his R1. (iAfrica.com)
› Santana facing the axe Oct 11, 2009
The national football association reacted by naming three "assessors" - former national coaches Clive Barker and Jomo Sono and top South African Premiership coach Gavin Hunt - to report on the national team. This heightened a rumour mill already awash with names of possible new coaches, including Santana predecessor Carlos Alberto Parreira and recently fired Poland coach Leon Beenhakker. (iAfrica.com)
Weird Chronicles ... And Zombies Jun 18, 2009
If you prefer your zombies in smaller servings, get your hands on an anthology titled "The Living Dead," featuring such luminaries as Stephen King, Poppy Z. In this anthology, you'll find everything from standard zombie fare to zombie carnivals and much more. (KFOXTV.com, TX)
Eunomia">Eunomia May 14, 2009
To call that one Clive Barker s Star Trek would be an insult to Hellraiser fans (and it is debatable whether the ninth movie is more like a bad horror flick than the tenth), but that is what has always come to mind when I think about it. In other words, I am not sorry that there will be no more TNG-based movies. (The American Conservative)
Top 10 Angels and Demons May 13, 2009
Clive Barker created in Pinhead what may well have been the very reinvention of the demonic, injecting new life ; both visual and thematic ; into the concept of the red-skinned devil with hooves and horns. Summoned into this world through a seemingly innocuous puzzle box, Pinhead and his merry band of lacerated, vivisected followers appear to those in search of unmatched sensation (like curious scientists unaware of the human limits of pain) and provide that sensation in overwhelming amounts.
