Billed as An Evening of Theater of the Absurd, the plays are spoofs, comedies and satire, and include The Marriage Proposal by Anton Chekhov; Medea by Christopher Durang and Wendy Wasserstein, Catastrophe by Samuel Beckett; The Sandbox by Edward Albee and the Bald Soprano by Eugene Ionesco. Growing up Catholic, playwright Christopher Durang says, he was haunted by "this thing called 'Index of Forbidden Books.'
