    Leo Frank saga still reveals a lot about our nation and ourselves  Nov 4, 2009
    Parade, the Alfred Uhry musical inspired by the affair, has been drawing crowds to Los Angeles Mark Taper Forum. In November, PBS stations will broadcast The People v. Leo Frank, the first full-length documentary to explore the topic. (Atlanta Journal-Constitution -- Opinion)

    Now, in "The People v. Leo Frank," filmmaker Ben Loeterman has crafted an historical feature documentary that includes the voices of Oney (chief consultant on the project), former Georgia Gov. Roy Barnes, historians, members of the Frank and Phagan families, and "Parade" playwright Alfred Uhry, among others. Framed by these speakers, the film's dramatizations transport the viewer to a tragic chapter for a region then proudly calling itself "the New South.". (Missourian Publishing, MO)

    Atlanta on Trial: As a Southern Jewish playwright, Alfred Uhry knew from the time he was a little boy about the trial of Leo Frank, a northern Jew who in 1913 was accused of murdering a 13-year-old girl in Atlanta. Uhry worked the tale into the musical Parade with the help of composer-lyricist Jason Robert Brown. (Los Angeles Downtown News, CA)
